Dream
This is our big hairy audacious goal! We see an obvious future, and our company will become the largest multi lifestyle holding company in South East Asia. We have the ambition to grab the pie and hit the market in South East Asia's lifestyle industry. We want to be the pride of Indonesia, to make Merah Putih flying high!
Purpose
We run this organization with a noble purpose, not just for profit. We believe in the power of purpose to present tremendous and meaningful works. At Fortius, we live and breathe to express the spirit of "kindspiration", a combination of two words that guide our lives: kindness and inspiration. This spirit means that we want to run the company by creating kindness, which can be an inspiration for the world to pay it forward to continue kindness to make a more beautiful world.
#1 Core Values - Live With Your Ikigai
Ikigai is a Japanese concept which means a reason to wake up every morning, or it can also be said to represent the meaning of life. At Fortius, all people here must choose to pursue their careers here because they feel they have full ikigai, not just because of one. In ikigai, there is a combination of four things, namely passion, mission, vocation & profession. People who live their life with ikigai will not feel burdened in their work every day, and on the contrary, they will feel like they enjoy their work like playing games. We really appreciate the time, and we encourage people in Fortius to dare to leave the organization if they don't live their lives with ikigai here.
#2 Core Values - Beginners Mind
Beginners' Mind is popularized by a zen master guru, Shunryu Suzuki, written in his book Zen Mind, Beginners Mind. As Shunryu Suzuki once famously said, "In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, in the expert's mind there are few" Beginners mind is a mentality to be humble, open mind, thirst for learning, and consider this always a day one. People who adopt the Beginners' Mind have a commendable attitude will become a person who continues to grow.
#3 Core Values - Sweet Success
Sweet Success is the opposite of Toxic Success. Both terms were popularized by a professor named Paul Pearsall in his book Toxic Success. The book was written after going through more than 20 years of research and researching more than hundreds of successful people. Toxic Success is a worldly success that is empty, takes its toll, and has a terrible impact. Meanwhile, Sweet Success is complete, meaningful, and good effects. Only 10% of people in the world have sweet Success with the characteristics of being calm, content, connected, and conscious. Simultaneously, the other 90% experienced Toxic Success with the traits of doubt, deficiency, detachment, and disappointment. At Fortius, we focus on mental health, spirituality, harmony, and happiness. We don't want a toxic culture here, only that we both succeed in progressing the Sweet Success path.
#4 Core Values - Embrace Reality
We are inspired by a billionaire who is also a meditation practitioner, Ray Dalio, who wrote the book Principle. Embrace reality is a principle of how we at Fortius face, analyze, and face challenges. We see challenges down to their very bare roots so that we can see things clearly. We prioritize the principles of openness, provide mutual input, behave professionally without taking it personally, and we don't play drama or politics in this organization.
#5 Core Values - Last Dance
We are inspired by the documentary film Last Dance, which tells Michael Jordan's story of winning the 6th NBA title as the second threepeat, Phill Jackson, as his coach, created a campaign to encourage his team with the name Last Dance. Last Dance means we at Fortius think, behave and act as if this is our Last Dance, so we do whatever it takes to get what we dream. Last Dance is a spirit that makes the whole team at Fortius release 101% of their maximum potential to leave a legacy for a meaningful life. The principle of Last Dance also means we think, behave, and act like accountable professional athletes. We refer to data and facts, not just assumptions. We run a company like we run a sports club.
